They are frozen in the beginning stage of a journey, when the adventure seems the most grand and unknown. In that way, they give me that good feeling of perpetual anticipation of what the future for my character will be like. Perhaps particularly because they are so scaled-down, and not meant as an actual home, but more of a transient thing. The few times I play the game, I think Hidden Hideouts have provided the most in terms of a home.
